Lawrence von Amrhein was inspired very early on in life by beautiful interiors, while growing up in New York City. He was fascinated by the vast array of styles and creativity of this city. Lawrence von Amrhein was drawn to the decorative arts and interiors of the many elegant NYC hotels, the fully furnished rooms at NYC’s great museums and showhouses, and creative retail stores. He was constantly redecorating his childhood home experimenting with new ideas and was not afraid to take down a wall or build a piece of furniture, these experiences came in handy later, as an Interior Designer, when in the role of overseeing a renovation.

Since those early inspirations, LvA has developed a vision and uncompromising sense of style, with an ongoing pursuit for beautiful interiors. The result is a history of long-standing clients who have called on LvA time and again. Always working to create interior’s that reflect the client’s preference, keeping them at the forefront in each decision.

International travel has allowed LvA to develop a critically constructive eye drawing inspiration from many places and cultures across the globe. He uses this collection of likes to create new and fresh interiors. Above all LvA’s unique work is inspired by the client, beauty, culture and the careful placement of items in a room, with the function of a room always respected.
